It seems friendships have become
altered in an unusual way
far from their normal state.
distorted faces I once knew
now unrecognizable.
for when time was elastic
it too stretched distance into miles
forcing me to relocate where
surroundings change drastically
leaving me to adapt within
alterations of mundane life.
thus I absorb change
as if it was meant to be.
